So much good to say about this chapter, and not only because of the fucking. ; ) Demyan’s dream was lovely; the roosting moon, the desert-turned-lake, the plain of white salt. It all resonates. I also love how this chapter works as both a reprieve–a step to the side of the exterior drama–and a huge emotional lurch forward.

We were thinking about cutting the dream sequence, actually, because I didn’t know if it was too cheesy, but I liked the way it looked in my imagination.
I liked writing this chapter, and I’m glad you enjoyed it! Seriously, love scenes are hard! This is the first one I ever wrote, save the make-outs earlier in the book. (I’m thinking of jumping into the deep end with a cherry bomb short once the book is finished, though.)

Lovely chapter, as always. And thanks for making me explain to my girlfriend why I had a big smile on my face! >_<
