You just wait till Kelly is a smoking hit stud you ass! He’s a rare delicacy compared to youre basic white boy act!(Its okay im white, I can say this about other white people) But for real, youre a jerk!

    • KingShezbeth

Hey, I like your attitude, and feel your sentiment, but could you please not call poc “rare delicacy”? I know you probably didn’t mean it to sound the way it did, but that’s the language a lot of people use to fetishize us

        • Bclarinet

Wait, sorry if this sounds rude, but I’m just going to be blunt. Are you saying people fetishize native Americans (or I guess races in general)? Is that it, or am I just confused on what you meant?

          • Lianne Sentar Lianne Sentar

Yes, people of color can be fetishized as “exotic” or have their skin tones described with food terms (like variations on “mocha”) in white-majority spaces. It can get very gross, and I think that’s what KingShezbeth was politely pointing out.

Thank you for staying civil, everyone, and please remain respectful.

Kids pick on kids they don’t like, and usually point out things that make them stand out. The skin color wasn’t the issue here, it was the combination of the skin color and hair color that the kid found out of the ordinary.

I was actually bullied for the same reason, my hair, eyes, and skin were brown (before I died my hair) and since I was growing up in a white town (Nixa Missouri) a lot of the kids called me brownie, fudge, shit, and chocolate bar. I’m about to punch this nugget in the face tbh.

hey everybody? calm down. he’s a kid so he’s probably not educated on how to speak to someone. he probably hasn’t seen that before so he’s just reacting like how a kid would react.

    • jengoci

I think is this page combined how he immediately started to make fat jokes against Kelly, even acting as a brat when the teacher called him out for it. And you have seen the other kids also be curious about Kelly but not being rude.
It could be his home life, the way he’s raised yes; but that’s not a big of an excuse for being a bully to Kelly.

      • 2Cute2BeCis

saying that’s “how a kid would react” seriously undermines both children’s (in general) culpability for their actions, as well as the kindness of children who don’t treat others this way

      • Ragnaraq

Kids act out like this in an effort to get attention. He probably found a quick way to get a reaction, and continually uses it in search for attention. The proper reaction wouldn’t be to fight this kid like most the comments are saying. It would be to get him help before the issue becomes worse.

Sounds like a legit kid thing to do. They think things that are different is weird. Depending on a few things. Poor Kelly might become self conscious. I hope Kelly says something.

  9. Rema

My favorite thing ever right now is looking at the comments by other people who want to fight the mean kid. It makes me so happy. But i agree full heartedly. No one speaks to Kelly that way if they want to live.

  10. Subaru

OF COURSE HE DOES IT WHEN GREY’S NOT THERE…….. wait, he would’ve said something of the like even if he was there. NEVER MIND. But STILL…

  11. Vee

I get back to reading this cute adorable comic and then BAM! I want to slap a child across the room for being rude to my little adorable hamster child!

  12. Angela

I will personally shove your jacket down your throat, so help me I swear.

(This whole fandom will follow me on that, too.)
