    *SQUINT* So. We know Booker has magical potential, that’s mentioned when he and Hal met. He bears more than a passing resemblence to Hal’s old buddy Quillish who was shown as an example of a Dark Magic user when he listed the types, a further indication of a magical connection to Booker as they were the same type. And the Sparkle-Bro-Douche-Knuckle apparently wants something from Booker, indicating that there’s something in their shared past that is magical in nature, OR, that Booker possesses something that Hal couldn’t sense until now (which is odd because it seemed like physical contact was what he needed in order to feel it, but he had his arm over Booker’s shoulder in college and didn’t so much as twitch).

    …..Why do I think whatever happened to Quillish is the cause of the fuss around Booker?
