If someones personality is quiet it takes a while for them to open up that’s why you take things slowly and don’t rush them
U try to find a common ground to open on and work from there I know cause i have friends like Booker heck i act like Booker a lot and if my friends weren’t patient with me and vise versa we wouldn’t be friends. And If you say stuff like that its asking to push the other person away
its not fair to them.
I don’t blame him for being angry. And you know what this is just Gabes words think about others who talked/acted towards Booker that way

I still don’t believe Booker uses or manipulates people he doesn’t give off any visual nor emotional sign of doing so. Especially as a reader we would technically see foreshadowing of anything like that. He is Blunt and logical but honestly i rather have that in a friend. Those words are harsh
I dont think he is manipulative either, we dont know for sure what went down with Tyler but the worst for me would probably be Booker ddumping him for whatever reason and him getting angry about it which is not manipulative at all. Also, he never seemed manipulative with Gabe either, he actually cared about him, he tried to cheer him up when he was sad and got him coffee when he was training
Book just met the wrong people for a major part of his life I guess
I don’t know fam. Let me play the devil’s advocate here:
Booker claims that he’s never been Gabe’s friend.
Yet he acts all buddy-buddy with Gabe as if there’s nothing wrong in their relationship.
Then he talks bad about Gabe behind his back (he isn’t wrong, but you still don’t do that to your pal).
Those seems like pretty manipulative actions to me.
Don’t get me wrong. I love Booker and I love Gabe, but I doubt either one of my boy’s are completely blameless here.

I wouldn’t be so quick to judge. I doubt it’s a coincidence that time after time people keep accusing Booker of being manipulative. If we’re going by Booker’s own words “it’s always the same” then we can assume that this is a common occurrence with people he meets. I’m not saying Gabe is guilt-free here, he’s definitely to blame even if he is naive. But I don’t think Booker is all that innocent either.
Just remember, we were all jumping to Gabe’s defence earlier and look how that turned out. We don’t know the whole story yet, and Booker has yet to reveal his true nature to us.

It is unfair to you that people don’t trust you because you’re quiet but those other examples don’t seem to stem from your silence… While I’m really mad at Gabe’s recent (or not so recent?) actions and behaviors, I also think that you’re not so free of guilt either Booker darling. It takes two to forge a friendship and it takes two to break it.

Friend or not if somthing one does could cause trouble to themeselves or others and they got hurt or worse because I kept their promise
No way even if they never speak to me again if no one got hurt but me in the process then honestly its fine
Booker is not the “i told u so type” when it comes to personal stuff Booksmart stuff maybe
U did something stupid and he tells u somthing is wrong but u go through with it maybe
However we cant rule out that he couldve been put in a position that in the Long run, the big picture the grand scheme of things or whatever
He actually helped them out in a way
Booker is the kind to Think Things Through because think about he doesnt jump head first into things without thought

But what if Hal was like Kyube like Madoka Magica That wouldve ment Booker Dodged a bullet and Gabe would be destined to disappear
Because Booker thinks things through and saw what could happen if he didnt he would be willing to let the person go if it ment in the end they be ok they might not see it but he does

1 we dont know that the reverse happens when Gabe talks about booker to his friends
2 We dont know if the other people were exactly. In the “right” either
3 this could also mean hes tried again and again but no one tried to see situations in his eyes

Let’s see what manipulative behavior Book has expressed so far shall we? You say that talking bad things about someone is being manipulative, it is not, at least not in the way he is doing.
Booker is pointing out to Hal why Gabe’s behavior doesn’t surprise him: because that’s something he has seen Gabe do and also something he doesn’t like, you can’t say you would be like “yeah he throws tantrums all the time, its nice”. It would be a manipulative behavior if Booker actually tried to make Gabe believe that they are friends and then the next thing you see is him saying all of this to Hal but so far the only actual friend like thing he has done is get Gabe coffee and even so he probably would’ve done it only because of his crush; cheering him up at the beginning? Any human being would try to cheer someone crying their eyes out specially a roommate and Booker also stated that he would only become a Magical to save Gabe’s ass, which once again just sounds like something anyone brave enough would do so he doesn’t try to make Gabe believe he is someone he should consider a friend.

All in all, yeah we can’t say for sure that Booker is the innocent cinnamon roll we all believe him to be but until the comic shows us something bad that he actually did and not just things others have called him, I will still believe that he deserves better than what he has received until now.

Both are true
But at the same time Someone Like Hal just needs the Bring out the Good the person can do to Both of them
