Gabe is:
1 Materialistic example he sold out a guy he known for 2 months for concert tickets
2 Easily Manipulated example the person who gave Gabe said tickets insulted his roomate and lied about Booker to his and everyones face and Gabe believed him
3 Impatient example Hal although never said it inital stated there isn’t an actual rush on learning magic and all Gabe wants to do is sling spells with no method to how he will learn them or strategy in general
4 Reckless he got his ass kicked by a ladybug that he couldve evaded or even defeated had he stayed with Hal
5 Childish because he doesnt get his way he thinks its appropriate to yell at the same guy whom gave you powers in the first place
and P.S. for those who have seen Magical Girl Anime you know you dont get that opportunity often or even in your life time
From personal experience, I totally see where Bookers coming from and its only a matter of time before it hits the fan
R Booker and I really wrong?
on one hand, me is kind of heart broken, but on the other hand, also kind of happy Booker isn’t blind. don’t know which more. me just really wishes Gabe will improve and see what a great person he is losing now
Ok, Gabe needs a loving slap to get his shit together. Also who hurt our baby Booker? I know that blonde bitch probably hurt him when dating but it sounds like there was someone else..
Booker has some pent up emotions there and I can somehow understand. They really need to talk this out pls…Gabe what are you doing? :((
Also I’ve just noticed that this comic has taken a darker turn (remembering the stable friendship between gabe and booker in the first pages makes me miss those “simpler” times:’) )
Personally, I don’t like Booker’s attitude. I get it, it’s hard to trust people (especially sometimes flightly people), but I don’t think he’s respecting Gabe if he thinks the guy needs to work his way up to being Book’s friend! Friendship is definitely not about earning anything to me. It’s about creating a relationship together ;_;
I think an attitude like that would justify Gabe not completely trusting Book as a friend. Booker doesn’t seem like the type to exactly open up to someone in 2 months…
“It will always end the same…” a winning attitude…. CX
I dont think he expects Gabe to earn his friendship, I guess he just knows that people lime Gabe are not always the best ones to put your trust on. For all we know, Book had an abusive home and there is also the thing with Tyler, we cant blame him for not trusting on people easily, he also seems like the introvert type so personally I know that i overthink a lot before actually considering someone a friend. Booker just wants to make sure he can trust someone, that being something Gabe is yet to show us all with everything he has done so far
I get what ur saying but at the Same time if one has been either surrounded constantly like people who act similarly to Gabe or Tyler or both its depending on personality….your gonna build a shield to protect yourself the “it always end the same” is a signal that its happened way to many times or at least one time to many
Also its preparing for the worst but that didn’t stop Booker from being supportive especially in the Begining when he was helping Gabe get over a girl if he truley saw an end he wouldnt care
Its like He wants Gabe or Someone to prove Him Wrong and that he can open up and trust someone but just incase that doesnt happen he shields up
Also i think Tyler brought back up something possibly. Traumatic. And we dont exactly know his realationship with his parents as the Teacher a chapter back was worried About so….If their is no outlet to the pain nor is their a stop to it; he feels trapped from everywhere than the whole”havent earned friendship thing” makes sense in a way he himself technically hasn’t stopped trying, hes probably thought about or has tried, but if someone doesnt really listen or takes it the wrong way
Such as Gabes conversation With Hal not to long ago
Gabe doesn’t like to be Bored with explanations of things
Hal countered by saying its needed to fully understand how things work.
Gabe told him to save it
How do we know something like this didn’t happen before Hal appeared? If it did happen someone like Booker would back up and wont say anything anymore and even if he didn’t and they talked bout something else that posed a similar result Booker wouldn’t say anything at all hes when ur introverted to an extent u learn peoples traits fast and there for if Gabe sends out signals theres somethings u cant trust him with u subconsciously dont say anything but ur still willing to try especially if your stuck in a dorm together
Its not just ive known of him for 2 months
Its ive lived with him for 2 months which are 2 completely different ball games
X3 there’s a difference between being friendly with the people you live with, and being friends with the people you live with.
Gabe’s attitude throughout the comic has been pretty shitty, plus that whole scene in the cafe where someone he met barely an hour ago really upsets someone he knows, and Gabe decides to ditch said person who is upset and goes off with the one that upset them? That pretty much cemented my dislike of him completely. Gabe is a terrible friend. Booker deciding not to trust someone to treat him decently when we’ve already seen that person treat someone trying to help him (hal) badly, and then actively support the person that has hurt him in exchange for concert tickets, kind of proves that he is entirely in the right for deciding that. It genuinely makes me wonder just what Gabe has said/done in the two months they’ve lived together, and the time period before that when they just knew each other.
You don’t HAVE to be friends with the people you live with, it helps, but sometimes you just can’t muster anything but polite cohabitation, or outright pretending they don’t exist – god knows I’d have liked to introduce certain people’s faces to a fucking chair at high speed when I lived with them.
Booker I understand it.
lets break it down a bit.
Gabe is:
1 Materialistic example he sold out a guy he known for 2 months for concert tickets

well… I didn’t expect book to say that. but then again he does have a point.
on one hand, me is kind of heart broken, but on the other hand, also kind of happy Booker isn’t blind. don’t know which more. me just really wishes Gabe will improve and see what a great person he is losing now
It’s “I” not “me”, just in case you’re not doing that on purpose.
Ok, Gabe needs a loving slap to get his shit together. Also who hurt our baby Booker? I know that blonde bitch probably hurt him when dating but it sounds like there was someone else..
whoa bad don’t any of you see how he acting
The only thing left is for Hal to reveal that he doesn’t like either of them, and this comic will 100% break my heart. :(
Booker has some pent up emotions there and I can somehow understand. They really need to talk this out pls…Gabe what are you doing? :((

Booker, I understand where you’re coming from, but whether its logical or not, you two ARE friends. So lets work through this.
Here I am looking at the page thinking Booker could be a model.
Personally, I don’t like Booker’s attitude. Didn’t he have a cigar when he first appeared?

atm, Gabe is my least favourite. I know you’ve written him like that, so you’re doing a good job. XDD
