  I guess its either for doing a loin cloth or tying up breasts, since Wilfrid’s body and gender are, at least, ambiguous. Now we know he’s a mistery to everyone, not just the readers :3

    I’m thinking the linen sheet is more on the insult side of the kindness gesture. They gave him something to keep him warm, but also a very cheap material.

    Oh, clever. I was vaguely remembering something about religious writings forbidding particular fabrics, but at least (our world’s) islam doesn’t seem to say anything about linen, so I was confused. You’re more likely right!
