I love how the light shines through the sculpted scratches of the wood into Ionel’s clothes..! Is it the way he is viewing the situation..? From the previous panel where Dunant had a conceivable (?) halo, is he thinking, through his (Dunant’s words) that there is a chance of cure? A glimpse of light?
