The comment about film actually reminds me of something I was re-reading this morning! I hope it’s okay to link it here. It’s a recap of a workshop on cinematography in manga. It was supposed to be 3 parts and she never really got to part 3, but here’s parts 1 and 2 anyway because they’re super fascinating:

I want.. more… romantic comedies… Okay so those are just my favorite thing, like, on the planet and I definitely want like 9000 more of them. Which is funny because I don’t tend to write a lot of goofy stuff, ESPECIALLY romantic comedies– but I’ve been going out of my way to let myself write that kind of thing lately, so.
And things set in space! (I’m really reaching here.) Female gaze space operas, yes please.

Waaah hello! I should introduce myself too! I’m Capo and I have a shojo manga problem. Wait that’s not what I meant to say… I also heard about Sparkler and Chromatic through the Off*Beat announcement and the call for submissions! I’m a comics creator, and I’ve been a shojo manga addict for the last fifteen years! Haha!
