This WAS a really good episode! I liked it a lot– I love hearing people pick apart ideas near and dear to my heart. I just want you all to know I was talking back to my screen the entire time. :3

I was also interested to hear that Sparkler readers had that immediate reaction to het romance. I used to feel that way for a long time, but I don’t anymore I guess?? It’s… interesting. (I mean some of my favorite comics I’m reading right now are like… Happy Marriage?! and stuff. Pretty uh romance novel-y.) I don’t think it surprised me, but it interested me!

I had coherent thoughts but I lost them… still, great episode guys. :D

EDIT: Also I was so stoked to hear Yuki Yoshihara mentioned– I LOVE her so much. She’s absolutely hilarious. It’s a real shame that the only thing that came out in English so far from her is sort of impenetrable for a lot of readers– especially if you haven’t read like 50000 stories about office ladies like I have

I can’t enter stuff into the spreadsheet, not really part of the street team, but hey here’s a list of stuff:

Geek Girl Con Oct 10-11 2015 Seattle, WA http://geekgirlcon.com/
    Sakuracon April 3-5 2015 Seattle, WA http://www.sakuracon.org
    Kumoricon Sept 4-7 2015 Vancouver, WA https://www.kumoricon.org
Olympia Comics Fest (no dates picked yet, it’s usually in June and free) I volunteer for this one, and it’s run by the owners of a local comics shop here. What would be absolutely killer would be if someone could guest, but I know none of the staff or artists are even remotely local and the guys are really weird about guest selection. (They have them do signings so prefer someone whose work they carry in the store…) It’s a thought though.

I think I already linked you guys to Danger Room here in Olympia, but I might have forgotten about Olympic Cards and Comics? They’re actually one of the biggest shops around and the owner is a cool lady, she might be interested!

They’re only the next town over from here, ahaha… Our libraries would probably be interested as well! Most of the people I know in our library system are youth librarians (I do events for them sometimes, teach kids drawing stuff, etc), which I know skews a little younger than Sparkler, but still! http://www.trl.org <— it’s a pretty big library system!

@Lianne yay another BJD blog to follow! I am into BJDs for sure. It’s been my main non-drawing or reading hobby since like… 2006 because I’m an old person in internet years. I have like these really vague ambitions to make a BJD myself but my artistic talents are strictly limited to 2D, so it’s just this crack fantasy I have. :B

So many crafty people! :D Yaaay! ♥

I have a dorky doll hobby! And I have been really into painting my nails lately, which is a nice stress buster too.

The cruelty of how much I’m into Windrose is that IT ONLY COMES OUT MONTHLY! I’m so about this series, though. Monk murder, hotties, MYSTERIES! Also her hot dad? (Am I allowed to say that. It’s too late.)

I listened to this chapter and when I got to the end I just sat up in my bed, shouted NO!! and threw a stuffed animal. What terrible thing have you done to me…! I’ve got a life to live, you know! A normal, grownup life that involves leaving my house and not crying into a stuffed cat about how sad fictional space people are.

Seriously though, I am a hard sell on audio dramas, and Awake really knocked it out of the park. My sincerest and most heartfelt congrats to everyone involved– you guys did it, and it was so, so good!

I really did love this story a lot! I should have said something before, oops. But! It was so solid! I’m going to re-read it a few times now that it’s all out. :D No ~interruptions~ in the flow.

I really need to get caught up on Nozaki-kun! I made the mistake of watching it with my husband, and now I have to wait for him to want to watch it to watch the episodes. >:O So now all I have is my guilty pleasure anime series this season: Love Stage! and DMMD. Which I am totally watching because I am trash. I tried to watch Ao Haru Ride, I really did, but geeeeeh… I might give it another go but the setup so boring I dunno.

Interesting! It’s definitely a start, and I’m looking forward to the next chapter! I’m excited to see where this goes, though I mean… I was excited anyway. ;D I’m not noooormally into stuff with like a “western”-type setting, but I don’t hate ’em either and the hook at the end of the chapter is decently compelling! Woo! New stuff!
