Tokyo Demons has been running for two years at tokyodemons.com, but it will continue with Book 2: Chapter 5 in Sparkler Monthly Issue #1 (July 2013). Tokyo Demons will always remain free to read (it had a number of sponsors while it was independent, including a successful Kickstarter). The paperback and ebook of Book 1 are also available in the Sparkler Shop.
Since there were a number of great commenters on the earlier chapters (beware of spoilers if you scroll down in those), we’re going to continue that tradition with open comments below each posted chapter. But if there’s anything you want to discuss (or ask) specifically in the forum, this is the place.
Tokyo Demons is written in-house by Lianne Sentar, Chromatic Press/Sparkler’s head of prose, and planned/edited with Rebecca Scoble, head of audio.
The illustrator, rem, has an impressive backlist including the SOULLESS manga adaptation of the Parasol Protectorate novels (by Gail Carriger) for Yen Press, Devil’s Candy (which won the grand prize of the first TOKYOPOP Rising Stars of Manga award), and TOKYOPOP’s manga adaptation of the Vampire Kisses novels (by Ellen Schreiber).
